This charming vintage brass doorstop captures a whimsical moment frozen in time: a postman mid-stride being humorously “warned” by a dog poking through a gate marked “Beware of the Dog”. Made of solid cast brass, this sculptural piece has a lovely aged patina and strong mid-century character. The detailing—from the folds of the uniform to the tiny tail of the dog disappearing through the fence—is full of charm and humour. Whether used as a decorative doorstop, bookend or conversation starter, this piece will add personality to any room. Stamped “NVB” on the reverse.
