A refined antique silver-plated cutlery set by the renowned English manufacturer Daniel & Arter, dating to the late 19th – early 20th century. This elegant set features mother-of-pearl handles with delicate engraved detailing on the blades and tines. The silver-plated elements showcase ornate hallmarks, including the D&A maker’s mark, a globe (often indicating export), and additional assay symbols.

The set originally consisted of twelve pieces but now includes five knives and six forks (one knife is missing). It was traditionally used for fish or dessert. Each piece is finely crafted with a smooth and luminous mother-of-pearl handle, secured by an ornate silver ferrule. The knives feature beautifully engraved detailing along the blade, complementing the forks’ refined pronged design.
